Were Dumpling Squishy products part of the 2026 recalls?
No. In September 2026 the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced recalls of squishy bun and dumpling toys sold by OKK Trading (Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun Toy) and Chenyuanhui / GIHNJSI (Squeezy Dumplings, sold on Amazon), and issued a separate warning about Ivyapingdianpu squishy bun toys. In June 2026, a UK recall covered Squeezy Dumplings sold by Samsons Cash and Carry Ltd.
Dumpling Squishy is not any of those companies, and none of our products were included in any of those actions.
The recalls were about water beads. Ours don't have them.
This is the important part, so we want to be specific.
The recalled toys were filled with water beads — superabsorbent polymer spheres that can swell to many times their original size after being swallowed. That is what makes them dangerous: a bead small enough to swallow can expand inside the body and cause an intestinal blockage.
Our buns are not filled with water beads. They are filled with a glitter suspension based on glucose syrup — a liquid, not an expanding polymer. This is confirmed in our laboratory test report, which identifies the filling material as "transparent liquid with gold glitter." Under ASTM F963-23, the section covering expanding materials (4.40) was assessed as not applicable to our product, precisely because there is nothing in it that expands.
Independent laboratory testing
Our supplier's squeeze-toy range (models HC-01 through HC-50) was tested by Compliance Control Institute (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., a third-party laboratory accepted by the U.S. CPSC (Lab ID 1566) and accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 by CNAS.

What "CPSC-accepted" means — and what it doesn't
We want to be straight with you about this, because plenty of sellers are not.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission does not approve, endorse or certify individual products, and any seller telling you their toy is "CPSC approved" is describing something that does not exist. What the CPSC does is publish the safety regulations, and accredit the laboratories allowed to test against them.
So the accurate statement is this: our supplier's squeeze toys were tested at a laboratory the CPSC accepts, against the federal regulations the CPSC enforces, and they passed. The results are below, and we will send you the full report if you ask.

"Not detected" means the substance was below the laboratory's reporting limit. The heavy-metals testing included the filling liquid itself, not only the outer shell.
Using them safely
No squeeze toy is a substitute for supervision, so here is the plain guidance:
- Ages 3 and up. Keep away from children under 3.
- Not food. Do not cut, bite or open the bun. If a child swallows any part or filling, contact a doctor or Poison Control.
- Keep away from heat. Do not leave in direct sunlight, in a hot car, or near a heater — squeeze toys can burst when overheated.
- If the shell splits, throw it away. Wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth; do not soak.
